Join Catholic men where we take responsibility for learning, living, strengthening, and sharing our faith.
Our Lady of Good Counsel's Men's Prayer Breakfast is a collection of everyday “Regular Joes” who want to learn more about the Catholic faith and discuss the common issues that face all men. Many members have never attended any other “church-related event” outside of Mass, while others are far along in their faith journey. Whatever the case is with you, you’ll feel welcome! While not a true prayer group, bible study or men’s club, they have elements of all.
The OLGC Men's Prayer Breakfast mission is "Catholic men inviting men to a comfortable environment where we take responsibility for learning, living, strengthening, and sharing our faith, which will in turn make us better men, leaders, husbands, fathers, and followers of Jesus Christ.”
Newcomers are always welcome! This group meets weekly on most Wednesday mornings from 5:45 - 7:00 AM in the Our Lady of Good Counsel parish Social Hall. How to join or find out more information? Learn more here.

Holy Is His Name: The Transforming Power of God’s Holiness in Scripture
Catholics are taught to prize holiness—to admire it in others and to strive for it in their own lives. But we're never quite told what holiness is. In Holy Is His Name: The Transforming Power of God's Holiness in Scripture, Scott Hahn seeks to define the term in order to help us better understand our relationship with holiness. Tracing the meaning of holiness first through the Old Testament and then the New, Hahn masterfully reveals how God gradually transmits his holiness to his people—through creation, right worship, and more—and ultimately transforms them through the sharing of his divine life.

Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary: Unveiling the Mother of the Messiah
Bestselling author of Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist casts new light on the Virgin Mary, illuminating her role in the Old and New Testaments. Are Catholic teachings on Mary really biblical? Or are they the "traditions of men"? Should she be called the "Mother of God," or just the mother of Jesus? Did she actually remain a virgin her whole life or do the "brothers of Jesus" refer to her other children? By praying to Mary, are Catholics worshipping her? And what does Mary have to do with the quest to understand Jesus? In Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary, Dr. Pitre takes readers step-by-step from the Garden of Eden to the Book of Revelation to reveal how deeply biblical Catholic beliefs about Mary really are. Dr. Pitre uses the Old Testament and Ancient Judaism to unlock how the Bible itself teaches that Mary is in fact the new Eve, the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven and Earth, and the new Ark of the Covenant.
