During the brutal religious persecution in Mexico from 1926 to 1929, in a heroic act of battle, José is captured after saving his Cristero general, and taken to his village to be executed for treason. The deputy sheriff, José’s godfather, is the highest authority of the town, who would have to give the execution order. This is a true story of faith, family, and forgiveness about one of the youngest saints who sacrificed everything for his love of Christ the King.
