This silicone rosary is named after St. Helena. Helena was the mother of Emperor Constantine. Although her family was lower class, she married a man of higher status named Constantius. Together they had their son Constantine. However, when Constantine was about twenty years old, Constantius divorced Helena to marry someone else and advance his career.
Constantine remained loyal to his mother and always supported her. Even as his own status advanced he stayed close to Helena. After his father's death, Constantine became emperor and brought his mother back into the center of his court.
Through Constantine, Helena was exposed to Christianity and embraced it. Constantine gave her the mission to find Christian relics. On this mission to locate relics, Helena took many trips to the Holy Land. She had a number of churches constructed to commemorate different places of Christ's life such as His birthplace and the place of His ascension into Heaven.
During her time in the Holy Land, Helena discovered the three crosses. In order to discover which cross was the cross of Christ, Helena brought a woman in need of healing and asked her to touch each cross. Upon touching one of the crosses, the woman was healed. Helena then proclaimed this to be the true cross of Christ.
Helena died in 330. She was buried in the Mausoleum of Helena outside of Rome. Now, her sarcophagus can be viewed at the Vatican Museum.
Helena not only sought relics, but was incredibly charitable. She spread Christianity to many places and lived her life for Christ. St. Helena, pray for us!

This silicone rosary is named after St. Andrew the Apostle. Andrew was called to be an Apostle with his brother Peter by Jesus. Like his brother, Andrew was a fisherman before Jesus told him to "follow me and I will make you fishers of men."
After Pentecost, Andrew preached the Gospel all around the Black Sea, Greece, and Turkey. He was eventually martyred by crucifixion. However, he was bound rather than nailed to the cross, and the cross was in the shape of an "X." Therefore, a symbol to help us recognize St. Andrew in artwork is the "X" shaped cross.
St. Andrew, pray for us!

This rosary is named after St. Francis of Assisi. Francis was born to a wealthy merchant in the town of Assisi, Italy. He grew up very privileged and wanted for nothing. Francis greatly desired to make incredible triumphs in his life. This led him to becoming a knight when Assisi went to war. However, he was captured and was imprisoned for an entire year until he was ransomed back to his family. This did not end his desire for glory. He was headed off to join the 4th Crusade when he had a dream war God told him to go home.
Francis had not been leading a holy life oriented towards God. He had never striven holiness, but he listened to God’s voice and returned home. From there, Francis began to pray. He repented of his sins. He spent time in solitude. A big turning point in his conversion was when he encountered a leper in the countryside. Rather than avoid the leper, Francis embraced him. Francis truly believed that it was God who He embraced in that leper.
Francis’ mission really began when he encountered the Lord in the San Damiano crucifix. From the crucifix, he heard Christ say, “Francis, repair my church.” Francis initially took this literally to mean “rebuild this chapel you are in.” Francis did this, but then went further in his mission to rebuild the Church. After being disowned by his father, Francis began to preach and started attaining followers. He wrote a very simple rule that has now attracted thousands over the years.

This silicone rosary is named after St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower. Thérèse was born in 1873. She was the youngest child of Sts. Zelie and Louis Martin. With the extraordinary example of her parents’ faith, she developed a love for God and a strong habit of prayer at a very young age.
Although her faith was quite mature, Thérèse struggled not to act childish. She had a habit of being somewhat selfish and overly emotional when she did not get her away. She struggled with these things until one Christmas when she asked for Jesus’ help to be more grown up. From then on, Thérèse always did her best to be humble and generous.
After facing many obstacles, Thérèse was allowed to enter the convent at the young age of 15 years old. As a carmelite nun, she experienced a much more challenging life than what she had known in the comforts of her family home. She also experienced the hardship of not being able to be with her father as he suffered through many health challenges.
Although she was young and didn’t have the most extensive instruction in Theology, St. Thérèse is a Doctor of the Church. Her autobiography Story of a Soul has impacted thousands and continues to bring more people deeper into their spiritual lives.
St.Thérèse died at the young age of 24 in 1897. In 1925, Pope Pius XI canonized her.

This silicone rosary is named after St. Cecilia. St. Cecilia is one of the most famous virgin martyrs. She lived during the 3rd and 4th century in Rome when the Christian’s were being heavily persecuted. Cecilia was from a wealthy family and as was common during that time, entered into an arranged marriage. Cecilia had made a vow of chastity to God unbeknownst to her family. Valerian, her husband, was a pagan at the time of their wedding. During her wedding ceremony she was said to have sung in her heart to God and after the ceremony she told Valerian that she had taken a vow of chastity and an angel of the Lord protected her. Valerian asked to see proof of the angel, Cecilia told him he would have to have eyes that could see and would need to be baptized. Valerian traveled to Pope Urbanus and was baptized. When he returned he could see the angel at her side and saw the angel crown her with a chaplet of rose and lily. When Valerian’s brother heard about the angel and his brother’s baptism he too was baptized and the brothers spent their days burying the martyr saints of that time. Soon both brothers were martyred by the city perfect because they would not offer a sacrifice to the pagan gods. Cecilia lived out the rest of her days preaching and is said to have converted over 400 people. St. Cecilia was martyred and is regarded as the patroness of music, because she heard heavenly music in her heart when she was married, and is represented in art with an organ or organ-pipes in her hand. Her body was exhumed in 1599 and found to be incorrupt, the first of all incorrupt saints. They also reported a "mysterious and delightful flower-like odor which proceeded from the coffin." St. Cecilia’s feast day is celebrated on November 22nd.

This silicone rosary is named after St. John the Baptist. John, the cousin of Jesus is known for his evangelization and the baptizing of the Lord. He was born through the intercession of God to Zachariah and Elizabeth, who were otherwise too old to have children. When Mary came to help Elizabeth, John left for joy in her womb when hearing her speak as he knew the Christ child was near. Not much is known about his younger years and his public ministry began when he was about 30 years old. He attracted large crowds calling for repentance and baptism by water. Jesus himself came to John to be baptized, and after, the heavens opened up and the Spirit of God was seen as a Dove and the voice of God was heard saying "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." John had his followers follow Christ and these were among the very first Christians. John’s popularity grew and finally caught the attention of King Herod. King Herod had John arrested and thrown into jail. John met and spoke with Herod many times and when the conversation turned to his wife, John was quick to condemn the marriage as unlawful. This condemnation ultimately led to his death. He died by beheading between 33-36AD. John the Baptist is also known as John the Forerunner and his feast day is June 24th. He is the patron saint of Jordan, Puerto Rico, Knights Hospitaller of Jerusalem, French Canada, Newfoundland, Cesena, Florence, Genoa, Monza, Perth (Scotland), Porto, San Juan, Turin, Xewkija, and many other places

Jacinta- Shepherd Kids Rosary Chews Life
These rosaries are perfect for your kids that are getting closer to using a traditional gemstone rosary, but are not quite there yet. These Shepherd Kid Rosaries are great because they feature some of those great qualities from our silicone rosaries like durability and soft texture. They also have that great feature of being quiet if dropped. One of our favorite features! How they’re different from our silicone rosaries is that they have smaller beads and have more the look of a traditional rosary.
Not suitable as a chewable toy for children ages 4+
These rosaries are named Shepherd Kid Rosaries for the shepherd children who Mary appeared to a number of different times. This one is named after Jacinta. Jacinta was one of the three children that Our Lady of Fatima appeared to. Our Lady first appeared to the three children, Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia on May 13, 1917. Our Lady asked them to return to the same spot on the 13th of each month for six months. During these apparitions, Mary told the children to learn to read and write and pray the rosary for the conversion of sinners, for Russia, and for peace. On the day of Mary’s final apparition in October of 1917, 90,000 people gathered together.
Jacinta died in 1920 from influenza. In 1951, her body was moved and re-buried in the basilica at Fatima. In 2000 she was beatified and then on May 13, 2017, the 100th anniversary of the first apparition, she was canonized by Pope Francis.

Little Flower: A Spring Stroll Inspired by St. Therese of Lisieux- Shining Light Dolls
Take a stroll through a springtime garden with the little flower, the nickname of St. Therese of Lisieux, and learn that in God's garden, we are each made special and unique!
This lovely little book, written and illustrated by award-winning author and illustrator Chantal Baros, was inspired by the words of St. Therese of Lisieux in her famous spiritual classic, "The Story of a Soul."
"Our Lord has deigned to explain this mystery to me. He showed me the book of nature, and I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would lose its springtime beauty, and the fields would no longer be enameled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, Our Lord's living garden." - St. Therese of Lisieux
This beautiful primer is a simple introduction for children to some of the concepts and images found in her work. This special book is filled with beautiful illustrations and a lovely rhyming poem from award-winning author and illustrator Chantal
Baros.
A perfect addition to any mini Catholic library!
A great book for preschool age children.

"Announce it, and let it be announced to the whole world, that I set neither limit nor measure to my gifts of grace for those who seek them in my heart!"
-Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
There have been many Saints throughout the years that have had a devotion to the heart of Jesus in one form or another. The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we now know it, was given to us by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque who received visions of Jesus in 17th century France. The list included such wonderful blessings as peace in their families and consolation in all their troubles.

Shining Light Dolls- St Joan of Arc
Meet St. Joan of Arc!
St. Joan of Arc (May 30th)
Patron of: France, prisoners, soldiers, military personnel
"I am not afraid... I was born to do this" -St. Joan of Arc
Joan was born to a peasant family around the year 1412 in Domremy, in northeastern France. Joan was born into a country that had been in a long war with England (known as the Hundred Year’s War). It had started as an inheritance dispute over the French throne. At the time Joan was born, the French were losing the war. Joan lived a very ordinary farmer’s daughter’s life until the age of 13, when while in her father’s garden she experienced her first vision. She saw the Archangel Michael, St. Catherine and St. Margaret. They told her God wanted her to help lead the French army in order to drive out the English and bring the Dauphin to Reims for his coronation. Joan trusted in God’s plan for her life, and help lead the French army in many victories over the English. She also succeeded in her mission of having Charles VII crowned King in Reims. St. Joan of Arc was captured and martyred by the English when she was only 19 years old- but her victories and legacy changed the course of French history.

Shining Light Dolls- St Monica
Meet St. Monica!
St. Monica (August 27th )
Patron of: the conversion of relatives, difficult marriages, disappointing children, victims of unfaithfulness
"Nothing is far from God"
-St. Monica
St. Monica of Hippo is well known because of her very famous son, St. Augustine of Hippo. St. Augustine wrote some of the most well known pieces of Christian literature, but there was a time in his life when he wasn't a Christian. It was through the intercessory prayer of his mother (as well as her good example and continued presence in his life) that he returned to the Christian faith. While he had never been baptized as a baby, because his pagan father would not allow it, St. Monica had planted the seeds of Christianity in his heart from birth.
St. Monica even followed St. Augustine from city to city to try to keep him from ruining his life with sin! Her tireless prayers and loving example ended up converting her pagan husband, Patricius, a year before his death. She also converted her mother-in-law (who had been unkind to her for many years!). St. Monica is an amazing example of never giving up hope.
Plant the seeds of a lifelong faith with everyone's favorite Catholic saint toys!
